General Exam Policies
Exam Day Essentials
For both exams:
Exams are administered online in Brightspace using Respondus LockDown Browser with webcam and audio monitoring.
Each exam is open for a 24-hour window — the Midterm on day 6 (December 31) and the Final on day 11 (January 9). Once you begin, you have a fixed time limit (80 minutes for the Midterm; 140 minutes for the Final).
One attempt only — the exam cannot be paused, exited, and restarted.
Government-issued photo ID required for identity verification before the exam starts.
No breaks during the exam. Leaving the camera view will be flagged.
Exams are closed book but open note — your own handwritten or printed notes only. No tablets, iPads, phones, or other electronics.
No formulas are provided. Statistical table URLs are allowed by the LockDown Browser, but printing a physical copy is recommended.
Complete the practice quiz in Brightspace before the Midterm to verify your setup.
Because of the condensed calendar, there are no make-up exams.
See Course Syllabus — Winter Session 2025 for the full exam policy, equipment requirements, and grading weights.
